Mir Mountain Adventures participates in the Calamity Fund (Calamiteitenfonds), a Dutch organization that provides financial support in case of Calamities a catastrophe or an impending catastrophe.
Under its guarantee scheme, the Calamity Fund covers bookings made by consumers on the Dutch market with companies participating in the Calamity Fund.
The Calamity Fund makes payments in case such consumers suffer financial loss when their travel company cannot or may not (fully) perform the agreed services due to a catastrophe or an impending catastrophe. Moreover, if the trip is terminated early, the Calamity Fund will reimburse the travel sum on a prorated basis as from the date the trip was terminated. For this guarantee, consumers pay a fee of € 2.50 per booking (maximum 9 persons per booking).

Ontstaat er tijdens je reis een calamiteit? Bijvoorbeeld een natuurramp, of omdat er onlusten uitbreken? Dan is de garantie van het Calamiteitenfonds er voor je bij zo’n abnormale gebeurtenis. Als jouw aangesloten reisorganisator je reis moet aanpassen, dan worden de noodzakelijke meerkosten vergoed. Moet de organisator de reis tijdelijk staken, of moet je vervroegd terug naar huis? Dan krijg je een deel van je reissom terug. Voor slechts € 2,50 per boeking heb je tot liefst negen personen garantie bij onverwachte reiskosten tijdens een calamiteit.
